Company Profile

RoboToolz, the manufacturer of the RoboToolz® line of products, is an international company. It has affiliated offices in Silicon Valley, CA., in Munich, Germany and in Hong Kong.

RoboToolz's mission is to redefine the evolving measurement tool market and become the worldwide leader in innovative, technology-enhanced precision measurement and proximity tools and instruments for the construction professional by "Using Technology to Create Better Tools". In fact, the RoboToolz™ laser measurement tool product line utilizes superior technology to provide performance previously only available in units costing up to two times more.

The RoboToolz™ line is just the beginning of measurement tool innovation from RoboToolz that will revolutionize the industry....bringing new standards of speed, precision and performance to every jobsite at an unmatched value to the professional contractor.

RoboToolz™ laser products are currently sold through retail, catalog, and industrial distribution in the United States. In Europe, RoboToolz laser products are sold through OEM and distributor partners.


Toolz Board of Directors

Abbott Stillman

Abbott Stillman (Chairman of the Board / CEO) is a Managing Principal of The Stillman Group, a real estate and venture capital firm that has developed such projects as Three Lincoln Center (a 1,000,000 square foot mixed-use project at Lincoln Center in NYC), 401 North Broad Street (a 1,200,000 redevelopment in Philadelphia that contains, among other uses, one of the largest and most successful telecommunications hubs in the nation), and 600 College Road East (a 250,000 square foot building in Princeton, NJ done in collaboration with Princeton University). The Stillman Group has also developed thousands of residential units in the New York and Boston metropolitan areas and is currently particularly active in Boston through its affiliate Thorndike Properties Group. It has received numerous design awards and national recognition as a leading real estate organization.

Mr. Stillman has been an active venture investor since 1988 and those venture interests include companies involved in: software applications; software testing; voice applications for mobile workers; biotechnology; digital asset management; international language and business process training; specialty chemicals; market research; insurance brokerage; engineering design; real estate services; and laser-based tools. In addition to his positions as Chairman of the Board / CEO of Toolz, Ltd., he currently sits on the boards of iHello (Mountain View, CA) and SCB International (Florida and Mainland China).

Mr. Stillman was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was an Eliphalet Nott Scholar as an undergraduate at Union College (Schenectady, NY). He was an ACLU Fellow at Columbia Law School and a Mellon Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, from which he received a Master of City Planning from the Graduate School of Architecture and Design. He taught courses for undergraduates at Harvard and MIT, was a Founding Member of the MIT Center for Real Estate Development, served on the MIT Visiting Committee, was a Trustee of Union College, served on the Real Estate and Construction Council of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, was a Director of Ensemble Studio Theater (NYC), and currently serves on the Parents' Advisory Board of Stanford University.


Edmund Shea

Edmond Shea is the Executive Vice President and Director of J.F. Shea Co., Inc. J.F. Shea Co. was established in 1876 and is one of the largest privately held civil engineering, construction and real estate developers in the United States. For over 100 years, J.F. Shea's history has been highlighted by landmark achievements such as the construction of the famed Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, and as the managing partner of the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River at the Arizona and California state borders. Besides his involvement in the construction industry, Edmund Shea has also acted as one of the earliest and most successful venture capitalists in the Silicon Valley participating in such ventures as: Compaq Computer, Altera Corporation, Linear Technology Corporation, America West Airlines, Hambrecht & Quist Group, Excelan (which became Novell), AES Corporation, Genentech Inc., and Brocade Communications. Edmund Shea currently sits on the Board of Directors of the following publicly traded companies: Adac Laboratories and The Ironstone Group. He is a graduate of MIT's School of Engineering.


Joseph Schuchert III

Joseph Schuchert III is the President of Eaglestone Capital Services and a General partner of Eaglestone Investment Partners. He has been directly involved in the management and oversight of Eaglestone's portfolio companies. Mr. Schuchert was previously a partner with the law firm of Keesal, Young and Logan where he specialized in securities litigation and regularly represented various national investment firms.



Frank Feraco

Frank Feraco was formerly a Managing Director or Prodos
Capital Management. He was responsible for developing and attracting investment opportunities, leading due diligence and developing strategic plans for growth and turnaround processes for portfolio companies. Mr. Feraco's operational experiences span 34 years predominantly in durable goods manufacturing, marketing and general management. He spend the first 18 years of his career as an operating executive with Emerson Electric Company, based in St. Louis.

From 1991-2002, Mr. Feraco held successive key operating positions with 3 Fortune 200 companies. He led Kohler Company's International Plumbing business for 6 years; successfully led Textron's $5.0b Industrial Products Group; and in 2002 successfully completed a turnaround of the Porter/Cable Delta Machinery Group.

Beyond his operational experiences, Mr. Feraco completed 20 acquisitions and several corporate divestitures over his tenure.

Mr. Feraco holds a BA degree in Physics and Geology from the University of Rhode Island.

Coming from San Francisco, CA or the North:

Take Highway 101 South

Take the Shoreline Blvd. Exit

Make a right at the light onto Shoreline Blvd., towards Mountain View

Proceed approximately one mile or so

Proceed across the overpass, and make a left at the traffic light just on the other side of the overpass, onto Villa Street

Continue straight thru two stop signs, the traffic light at Castro Street, another stop sign and then one more traffic light, we are about 100 yards up on the left.

We are on the left-hand side at 404 Villa Street, just before you reach Tri-Valley Glass.

If you pass our office, Villa Street ends at Calderon, please turn around and come back about ½ block


Coming from San Jose, CA or the South:

Take Highway 101 North
